Elaine Nolan is a Manager with Network Management and Operations at Molina Healthcare of New Mexico in her 7th year of bringing healthcare to low income individuals. The bulk of her work is with Indian Health Service and Behavioral Health providers throughout the state. Her career has grown from Native American academic advisement to working within tribal communities on mentorship opportunities for children and raising awareness about options for accessing healthcare. A Board member since 2013 she was elected Board Chair in 2016 and has led the organization into its 35th year of service which empowers families through raising healthy children and strengthening the family bond. A member of the Navajo Tribe and a double alumni of the University of New Mexico, Elaine is committed to helping parents, especially single mothers, realize their individual paths to success while building healthy relationships with their children as caring and devoted role models. Elaine is a proud mother to two sons ages 17 and 20 and finds both peace and exhilaration by spending time in the great outdoors.

Veronique holds a JD degree and Certificate in Indian law from the University of New Mexico (UNM) Law School (Albuquerque) and a BA in Ethic and Native American Studies from the University of California Berkeley. She is an attorney with the Barnhouse Keegan Solimon and West Law firm in Albuquerque. Before joining the firm, she was staff attorney at NM Legal Aid where she provided legal services and representation for low income New Mexicans and Native Americans regarding Federal Indian law and tribal legal matters. Veronique is currently on the Indian Law Section Board and is the Indian Law Section Liaison for the Young Lawyers division. As part of Veronique’s legal career she has been and continues to remain committed to serving the larger Native community as well as her community at Laguna Pueblo.

KatieAnn Juanico, from the Pueblo of Acoma, is a graduate student in the Department of Education at the University of New Mexico (UNM). As a full-time student, she is currently pursuing a doctorate degree in Educational Psychology. KatieAnn has earned a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Language Arts and in 2015, received a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology, both from UNM. KatieAnn is currently employed at UNM as an Instructor and Teaching Assistant in the College of Education. KatieAnn teaches the courses, Learning and the Classroom and Classroom Assessment.

Mr. Dave Panana is an experienced and skilled nurse turned administrator. He has been an instrumental force in the stabilization and progression of tribal 638 facilities in New Mexico. In his positions of Health Center Director, Acting CEO, and Chief Clinical Operations Officer at Santo Domingo Health Center, Mr. Panana was the leader in implementing sustainable changes leading to expansion of services for community members. Specifically, Mr. Panana was responsible for contract negotiations, recruitment of key personnel and medical providers, and day to day operations. Mr. Panana is also the Albuquerque Area Representative for the CMS Tribal Technical Advisory Group and member of the Southwest Area American Cancer Society board. Among his accolades, Mr. Panana is the proud recipient of the 2015 Indian Health Service Director’s Award, the 2017 National Indian Health Board’s National Impact Award and the 2018 Native American 40 Under 40 Award.
